Founder of SKG Nutritional Consulting
With over 20 years of experience in food service, health and nutrition education, and fitness, I bring both lived wisdom and scientific training to the table.
I hold a B.S. in Nutritional Science, an A.S. in Exercise Science/Kinesiology, and multiple certifications in herbal studies and Complementary & Alternative Medicine. I’m also a veteran and a former SNAP recipient who knows firsthand what it means to fight for wellness in a system that wasn’t built for us.
I’ve cooked for thousands, taught low-income families how to stretch $20 into health, and walked clients from chronic fatigue to restored energy—without judgment or unrealistic standards. My work is deeply rooted in ancestral knowledge, accessibility, and real-life strategy.
This is not a trend for me—this is my purpose.
"I didn’t build SKG to impress the system—I built it to replace it. We’re not waiting for access anymore. We’re creating our own lane and taking our people with us. This isn’t just about nutrition and wellness—it’s about freedom. When we reclaim our health, we reclaim our power, our peace, and our future.”
— NaKisha Black, Founder of SKG Nutritional Consulting
At SKG Nutritional Consulting, our mission is to disrupt the cycle of health inequity by making wellness real, reachable, and rooted in community. We center the people often left out of the conversation—low-income families, Black women, single parents, and everyday folks doing their best with what they’ve got.
We don’t believe in shame-based health.
We believe in education over judgment, access over excuses, and empowerment over perfection.
Through personalized nutrition guidance, culturally relevant fitness, and holistic wellness tools, we help our clients take back control—of their health, their households, and their healing. This is wellness for real life and real bodies, not for filters and fads.
SKG exists to make sure the people who’ve been overlooked the most finally get what they deserve:
Respect. Resources. Results.
At SKG Nutritional Consulting, we believe everyone deserves access to quality wellness services—regardless of income. That’s why we offer a sliding scale for individuals and families with limited financial means.
Eligibility is determined through submission of one or more of the following:
SSI Award Letter
SNAP Budget Letter
Six (6) weeks of current pay stubs
Approved applicants may receive reduced or no-cost services. However, all clients receiving free services must “Pay It Forward” through mentorship, volunteer hours, or direct program support. This ensures that SKG remains a cycle of empowerment—not entitlement.
Fraudulent submissions or failure to complete “Pay It Forward” commitments will result in immediate billing of the full service rate:
$1,200 for Nutrition Consulting
$1,000 for Fitness Coaching
Invoices must be paid in full within 30 days or legal action will be pursued without further notice.
